Video outlines how they steal affiliate code commissions from influencers and also allow "partners" to control what codes are for their business (making it less likely for the end users to search the web manually and look for better codes if honey already tells them none exist).

I've used it here and there but found that it wasn't effective enough to get me a good deal so I stopped using it some time ago. But I do sometimes get the thought of "maybe I should redownload and check honey".

Yep, turns out that #Honey browser extension for shopping coupons was a scam for both consumers *and* influencers who promoted it.

TL;DW: Honey allows ‘partners’ to prevent better coupons from appearing at checkout. For affiliate marketers (like YouTubers), Honey snipes their commission codes from the URL at checkout and steals the commission.

Side note: #NordVPN’s affiliate program offers a 40% commission. Does that seem oddly high for a commission? Sounds high.
