This Week in KDE Apps - KDE Blogs
KDE is the best desktop solution usability-wise, by far. This is true with the basic functionality, this is true with the advanced features.
Does it have bugs and shortcomings? Sure, but it's so much better than, let's say, Windows or Mac, it's just crazy.
A simple example I used just now - block select in Konsole. It was added many years ago, and I've been using it every now and then since that dat.
#Kdenlive is a powerful free and open source cross-platform video editing program made by the KDE community. Feature rich and production ready.

*sigh* By now I got two zombie-entries in my #KDE start menu that I can't get rid off or edit. Also my Icon-Only Task Manager bar is utterly incapable of memorizing where I put which starter, it keeps shuffling them around between reboots and even when switching activities (and then switching back to the same profile).
Since even widget placement and *existence* is rather flaky it seems to me that KDE is screwing up some part of caching or its db where it saves desktop infos. This sucks. #Linux
And another train ticket check successfully passed with #KDE Itinerary. I love this app
This Week in Plasma: File Transfer Progress Graphs - KDE Blogs
https://blogs.kde.org/2025/03/15/this-week-in-plasma-file-transfer-progress-graphs/
#KDE plasma 6.4 is getting a file transfer progress graph!
they're still working on the appearance, but it's gonna be great when this feature lands
In #KDE, can I somehow configure the way its built-in tiling of windows is working (when you push a window towards a screen corner)?
I put one of my screens in pivot and would like for windows not to be split 50% horizontally but 50% vertically.
The only option I can find for tiling is "(Yes / No) Windows dragged to the left or right edge", which is for 25% tiling.

Since #KDE managed to make its UI even worse once again (how do they constantly manage to do this?) I couldn't resist.
Folders in a path in Dolphin File Manager now get visually separated into kinda-buttons.

Jetzt hat mich einer heruntergestimmt.
