The initiative came from the population and not from asking car builders' opinions. Public tranport is just so much more efficient in high dense cities. And all the secondary effects like reduced noise and pollution, freeup of urban area, can also be attributed to it. IMO, hard to compete with that!

Early Modern DiplomacyEzekiel Spanheim was born into a calvinist refugee family in <a href="https://hcommons.social/tags/Geneva" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Geneva</a>.
