Mark Squires<p>This 2012 single-quinta Port from a famous duo (J. Portugal Ramos and Jose Maria Soares Franco, former winemaker for Barca Velha) is mostly Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, on the sweeter side and rather accessible. But it has structure, firmness on the finish, even if it seems elegant and sexy. Plum-laced and delicious, it adds mid-palate finesse too. </p><p>Nice value from an off-vintage. Can hold for more decades if you must. $50-ish.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/wine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wine</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/port" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>port</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/portugal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>portugal</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/douro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>douro</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/porto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>porto</span></a></p>
